LT6402-12 300MHz Low Distortion, Low Noise Differential Amplifi er/ ADC Driver (AV = 12dB)
FEATURES DESCRIPTION
n 300 MHz –3dB Bandwidth The LT®6402-12 is a low distortion, low noise differential n Fixed Gain of 12dB amplifi er/ADC driver for use in applications from DC to n Low Distortion: 300MHz. The LT6402-12 has been designed for ease of 43dBm OIP3, –82dBc HD3 (20MHz, 2VP-P) use, with minimal support circuitry required. Exceptionally n Low Noise: low input-referred noise and low distortion (with either 15dB NF, en = 2.6nV/√Hz (20MHz) single-ended or differential inputs) make the LT6402-12 n Differential Inputs and Outputs an excellent solution for driving high speed 12-bit and n Additional Filtered Outputs 14-bit ADCs. In addition to the normal unfi ltered outputs n Adjustable Output Common Mode Voltage (+OUT and –OUT), the LT6402-12 has a built-in 75MHz n DC- or AC-Coupled Operation differential low pass fi lter and an additional pair of fi ltered n Minimal Support Circuitry Required outputs (+OUTFILTERED, –OUTFILTERED) to reduce n Small 0.75mm Profi le 16-Lead 3mm × 3mm QFN external fi ltering components when driving high speed Package ADCs. The output common mode voltage is easily set via the VOCM pin, eliminating an output transformer or AC-
APPLICATIONS
coupling capacitors in many applications. n Differential ADC Driver for: The LT6402-12 is designed to meet the demanding require- Imaging ments of communications transceiver applications. It can Communications be used as a differential ADC driver, a general-purpose n Differential Driver/Receiver differential gain block, or in other applications requiring n Single Ended to Differential Conversion differential drive. The LT6402-12 can be used in data n Differential to Single Ended Conversion acquisition systems required to function at frequencies n Level Shifting down to DC. n IF Sampling Receivers The LT6402-12 operates on a 5V supply and consumes 30mA. n SAW Filter Interfacing/Buffering It comes in a compact 16-lead 3mm × 3mm QFN package L, LT, LTC and LTM are registered trademarks of Linear Technology Corporation. and operates over a –40°C to 85°C temperature range.
